Your host, Greg Vaughn is a 4-time MLB All-Star. Greg overcame humble beginnings, adversity, and great sacrifice to make it to Major League Baseball (MLB), where he had a 14 year career. Greg is a father, G-Pa, philanthropist, man of faith, coach, mentor, businessman, sports guru, golfer, skier, fisherman, and world traveler, and has helped thousands of kids and people with baseball and life.
Greg and his friends/guests share unique insights and perspectives of professional athletes, and he hopes our audience will walk away with great stories, life ideas, inspiration, and encouragement to find their happiness and enjoy their journey in life!
Co-host James Harris grew up in one of the toughest areas of the country. Like many of our guests who grew up in East St. Louis, James beat the odds and overcame adversity to play professional football in the National Football League (NFL). Like many young kids in East St. Louis, James started selling drugs at the age of 7. His early involvement in drug dealings continued through college and through his NFL career.
James is a father, husband, philanthropist, man of faith, golfer, and author.
Mitsu Miyagi’s journey is one of grit, growth, and inspiration. From mowing lawns at 12 to leading innovative projects at Transamerica. Born into a family with a legacy from Japanese internment camps, Mitsu embraced hard work early, flipping burgers, selling water filters, and running a baseball card business while in college. A “C+” student-turned-A-student, fatherhood transformed his path, fueling his drive to succeed.
Now a husband, father, grandfather, and adventurer, Mitsu co-founded Life After Sports 23 with Greg Vaughn to share real stories that inspire young people to think big and live fully. Mitsu’s motto? “If I can make it, anyone can!”
